Halotherapy

Have you heard of Halotherapy?

Allow us to introduce you to it, starting from the beginning. Halo is derived from the greek word ‘halos’ which means salt. Halotherapy is the practice of using dry salt as a form of therapy to combat bacteria and other harmful particles that enter our system. We humans breathe in all types of gases and pollutants that lingers in the air, and oftentimes, those harmful particles interrupt our overall well-being.

Halotherapy is a simple solution that helps us detox our bodies through breathing in salt.

How it works is simple, we use machines called halogenerators that work to grind the salt into microscopic particles and release it into the air. This therapy is done in a controlled environment where clients spend their time in our salt rooms to inhale these salt particles and exhale the toxins. Depending on what the client needs, Halotherapy offers almost instant results making it the most effective detox solution.

Why Halotherapy?

In our modern society, there are many particles in the air that threaten our health including toxins, pollutants, smog and airborne diseases. They each pose a different and unique threat to our overall health and wellbeing. As inescapable as they may seem, halotherapy can help. It has been tested over the course of centuries where people have proven it to be a safe and effective alternative to other common treatments.

Have you ever gargled salt water, poured salt in your bathtub or rinsed your nasal cavity with a neti pot?

That means you’ve already experienced halotherapy in its "wet" form and have witnessed the power of wet salt in action. What you may not have known is that dry salt is superior to wet salt, which is why our halogenerators make such an impact. Working through heat, our halotherapy guarantees that by the time you have inhaled moisture, the salt particles are able to work their way deep into your lungs, bronchi, bronchioles, and alveoli. Those parts of your body can then process the salt, using it to combat toxins. The salt is also beneficial to your skin, helping to ward off eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and acne

Skin, Beauty, and Anti-Aging Understanding Your Skin Systems

Your skin not only keeps your organs safe, it is an organ in itself. In fact, it is the largest organ in your body and its task is to protect you from harmful particles including bacteria, viruses, and microbes. In that way, it is similar to your respiratory system. Apart from detecting sensations like pain and pressure, your skin is simultaneously responsible for removing waste, regulating your body temperature and maintaining your hydration levels. In order to keep your whole body healthy, don’t forget to take care of your skin first.

Halotherapy for Skincare

The most important step you can take to keep your skin healthy and radiant is to introduce dry salt therapy into your self-care routine. Regular halotherapy sessions help you age more gracefully in order to maintain that healthy, youthful glow at every age. If you’re looking to feel attractive from the inside out, Halotherapy is the solution for you.

Halotherapy – Effects Scientifically Proven

According to researchers, Halotherapy is also beneficial to the skin’s microcirculation. The micro-particles that make up salt have healing properties and can positively impact both your skin and hair, giving them a healthier appearance as you age. This process works through skincell ion channels which initiate electrophysiological activity, triggering your skin’s natural defenses. Over time, the salt normalises your pH levels that repair, regenerate and stimulate growth.

CONDITIONS

Allergens, Hay Fever, Mucus Buildup

What can halotherapy do for you?

To understand this, you need to understand what is happening in your lungs. As allergens pass through your airways, your mucus levels increase. This can cause an asthma attack, but when you are going through halotherapy, salt particles are pushing back against such an attack. The tiny particles enter your lungs, eliminating bacteria while also increasing the airways that lead to them. This leads to lower levels of inflammation, reducing challenges to your nasal airway and your immune system. In addition, halotherapy can reduce bronchial problems for you.

What will your halotherapy session be like?

It may take only a single halotherapy session for you to notice the effects. As the salt reduces and eliminates mucus, you should feel more comfortable. To see the full effects, of course, you will need to wait a full month – equivalent to a few sessions in total. This will vary from person to person, and early on, you should sit for treatments 2-4 weeks if possible, cutting down to weekly or biweekly sessions afterward.
